Asian Nursing And
Midwifery Education Institute Networking
(SEANMEIN)
was
established during inter country workshop on networking
of nursing &
midwifery education institutions held at
Cha-am, Thailand, 6-7
July,
2006.
Its first meeting was held from 7?0th
May 2007 at Chandigarh, UT, India with
support of South East Asia Region of
WHO. SEANMEIN is a non-profit,
independent
educational group.
Its network is an academic collaboration and cooperation among WHO Collaborating
Centers for Nursing and Midwifery development among Nursing and Midwifery Education
Institutions in countries of South-East Asia Region for specific purposes in pursuit
of its aims.
AIM
The aim of SEANMEIN is to strengthen and promote standards and
quality of nursing and
midwifery education as well as strengthen the capacity of nursing and midwifery
education institutions in the countries of South-East Asian Region through collaboration
and cooperation.

The secretariat office is at National Institute of Nursing Education,
